Dear community, episode 15 of the German-language “We love Formulare” podcast is available to listen to. In this episode, Frank Engert and I reported on our participation in the ABAPConf 2024 in Mannheim and our presentation. I had already written this blog about it.
Since the podcast and the presentation are in German, here is a short summary in English: our presentation covered all the typical SAP form technologies. From the ABAP statement WRITE to SAPscript, Smartforms and Adobe Forms, and finally “SAP Forms service by Adobe”.
In terms of technology, the toolbox in output management is now really full. It is therefore difficult to keep an overview and make the right decisions in the context of business and technology. SAPscript and Smartforms will at least still be in maintenance until 2040. We will have to wait and see what happens after that. The toolbox may then be a little smaller. But that is not certain today.
