Dear community, no new blog for a month? How did that come about?
Well, I traveled a lot in April. I visited the United Arab Emirates, France, and Spain. Many exciting trips full of impressions of the country and its people.
In Dubai, I visited Middle East Energy. Many of my clients are in the energy sector. So it was a great opportunity to exchange ideas and get information, with some interesting insights.
I loved Dubai as a city. Good transport connections, very clean and organized, you can get by everywhere with English, pleasant temperatures in April thanks to the wind, and a variety of different and interesting buildings (I love architecture). So it’s also recommended as a city trip.
After that, I went on vacation to France (Provence) and Spain (Costa Dorada). The first three months of the year were very intense and successful from a work perspective. Time to relax a bit.
In Spain, I was there firsthand when the entire country lost power for about 12 hours. Fortunately, it barely affected me, as the hotel had its own emergency power generator, and the telecommunications providers’ networks continued to function for me.
Others, however, had it much worse. People had to be rescued from subways, for example. Another interesting thought: does the emergency button in an elevator work if there’s a nationwide power outage? In any case, the situation gave me a lot to think about.
Now I’m back in Germany, and the blogging continues. I haven’t been completely idle while traveling either. I’ve started compiling many of my general life experiences and experiences as a developer, consultant, and trainer. I thought it was necessary in the middle of my working life. The publication is in preparation, but will take some time.
Until the next blog
Michael
