Dear community, here’s a link to an interesting blog by Justin Garrison. It’s about the use of documents at Amazon, especially in meetings to ensure success.
In my opinion, this is a very fascinating insight and definitely worth considering whether to at least try this approach. Justin writes about the pros and cons of the way meetings at Amazon are structured centrally around a document. I find the mere fact that a document is required remarkable.
From my experience, I know different meeting cultures. These differ between companies, departments, and even within small groups of people. Often there are no documents at all, not even a minutes of the meeting. That’s too little for me and doesn’t do justice to most complex content. More on this in future blogs.
